Spot

Spot is a beautiful female ball python that was "free," with the purchase of a gigantic tank.  The tank was the perfect size for another of Dennis' snakes and his parents were happy to take her.  She was always the snake that I enjoyed playing with, she never moved too fast and usually stayed in her ball shape... unless she was snuggling up to my warm skin.

Balls don't get terribly big, as other pythons do - she's fully grown at about 5 ft.

Spot - out for a stretch
Spot had a very happy life with Dennis & Anita but when they moved to Virginia they needed to find her a new home.

I had just rented a larger apartment and had the space for her tank so Spot joined Pippin and me.

When Adam and I moved into the house, Spot was moved into the den.  The extra baseboards which keep it at a steady 75 degrees and not so great for humans to hang out in, makes this reptile a very happy girl.

She recently moved into a new tank and loves her new black heat lamp.  In the last few months, I've seen Spot more active and friendly than ever before.

In December of 2005, I had to leave Spot behind when life took me to California.  She was left in the care of a reptile shop, who was going to find her a good home.  I tried to find her a home myself but time grew short & all of the reptile fans out there had spouses who would kill them if they brought another snake into the house.

I'll miss her.
